Double Sided Tape (DST)

Double-sided tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive product engineered to bond two surfaces together invisibly and efficiently. Coated with adhesive on both sides of a carrier substrate—such as foam, film, tissue, or fabric—it enables clean, tool-free assembly without the need for mechanical fasteners, welding, or liquid adhesives. This design allows for a seamless finish, making it ideal for both temporary and permanent bonding applications.

Description

Its versatility and ease of use make double-sided tape a trusted solution across industries including automotive, electronics, construction, packaging, graphics and signage, furniture, and appliances. In automotive and transportation, it is used to mount trims, emblems, and interior panels, offering vibration damping and weather resistance. Electronics manufacturers rely on it for display bonding, component assembly, and insulation layering. In construction, it supports panel mounting, vapor barrier sealing, and acoustic foam installation. Packaging and printing sectors use it for splicing, tabbing, and prototype assembly, while signage and exhibition setups benefit from its clean removability and strong adhesion.

Double-sided tape is available in various formats including foam-based, film-based, tissue-based, and cloth-backed versions, each tailored to specific surface types, load requirements, and environmental conditions. Foam tapes offer gap-filling and vibration control, while thin film and tissue tapes provide low-profile bonding for smooth surfaces. Cloth tapes deliver strength and flexibility for rough or irregular substrates.

Fabrication methods such as die-cutting, lamination, and roll slitting allow double-sided tape to be customized for automated production lines and precision assemblies. It is supplied in rolls, sheets, or pre-cut formats, and can be tailored to meet international standards including RoHS, REACH, and UL 94, ensuring compliance and reliability across regulated markets.
