EVA Foam

Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) FOAM

Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam is a closed-cell copolymer material renowned for its balance of flexibility, impact resistance, and environmental durability. Engineered through the copolymerization of ethylene and vinyl acetate, EVA foam offers a soft yet resilient structure that performs reliably across a wide spectrum of industrial and consumer applications.

Description

Its lightweight nature and ability to recover from repeated compression make EVA foam a preferred choice in industries such as footwear, sports and recreation, automotive, construction, packaging, marine, and healthcare. In the footwear sector, EVA foam is widely used in midsoles and insoles for its cushioning and energy return properties. Sports equipment manufacturers rely on its shock absorption in products like yoga mats, helmet liners, and protective pads. In automotive interiors, EVA foam contributes to thermal insulation, vibration damping, and sealing performance, enhancing both comfort and structural integrity.

The construction industry benefits from EVA foam’s thermal insulation and soundproofing capabilities, while its buoyancy and water resistance make it ideal for marine applications such as flotation devices and deck padding. In healthcare, EVA foam is used in orthotics, prosthetics, and support products due to its skin-safe nature. Packaging applications leverage its compressive strength and dimensional stability to protect delicate items during transit and storage.

EVA foam is easily fabricated through lamination, die-cutting, and thermoforming, allowing seamless integration into automated production lines and custom assemblies. It is available in a range of densities, thicknesses, and hardness levels, and can be tailored to meet international standards including RoHS, REACH, and UL 94.
