WTEC supplies precision-engineered foam and specialty materials tailored to the evolving needs of electronics and electrical manufacturers. Our products are trusted by producers of home appliances, office automation systems, consumer electronics, and precision components for their performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Description
WTEC materials are commonly utilized across various segments to deliver critical performance advantages in:
- Anti-Vibration & Shock Absorption: Protects delicate components from impact, drop stress, and machine vibration
- Cushioning Layers: Adds comfort and structural support in housing, control panels, and user interfaces
- Gaskets & Sealants: Prevents dust, moisture, and chemical ingress in device enclosures
- Antistatic Protection: Reduces risk of ESD-related component failures and supports circuit integrity
- Heat & Electrical Insulation: Enhances safety and operational consistency by managing thermal flow
- Assembly Support & Adhesion: Offers streamlined lamination, spacing, and fixture capabilities for automated production lines
Material Versatility in electronics
To meet the nuanced requirements of electronics and electrical applications, we provide a wide spectrum of foam and substrate solutions:
WTEC offer Flexible Polyurethane Foam (PU) and Semi-Rigid PU Foam for protective cushioning, with Rebond Foam suited for high-durability layers in appliance housing. Reticulated Foam supports airflow and filtering within cooling systems, and Melamine Foam delivers lightweight insulation for heat-sensitive components.
Graphite Foam adds flame retardancy and thermal control in high-voltage zones, while Polyethylene (PE) and Ethylene-vinyl Acetate (EVA) are used in sealing, padding, and shock absorption for mobile devices and control boards. EPDM, CR, and NBR Foams offer sealing properties against environmental exposure, fluid ingress, and mechanical vibration.
For lamination, Adhesive and Double-Sided Tapes (DST) are incorporated into manufacturing processes to achieve precision assembly.
Custom thicknesses, densities, and ESD-rated formulations are available to meet product-specific compliance requirements including RoHS, REACH, and UL 94 standards.
